What’s on Your Heart? This Lent, IHM will be conducting a parish survey on discipleship called the Disciple Maker Index (DMI), and we need to hear from you! As part of the diocesan With One Heart initiative, the survey will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and on our parish’s efforts to help you become the best disciple you can be. The information gathered will be used to plan for the future so we can become a more faith-filled, vibrant community. The greater the participation, the more reliable the information will be for effective decision-making. The DMI will be accessible online from February 22 through March 27 and will take 10-15 minutes to complete (paper surveys will be available for those who need them). All responses will be confidential; the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. Results will be shared with the parish in late spring/early summer. In coming weeks, check the bulletin, the parish website, and (insert social media platform if you use one) and listen for pulpit announcements for more information, including how to access the survey online or complete a paper survey. Tell us what’s on your heart! Take the Disciple Maker Index this Lent!

US Catholic Bishops will begin a special National Eucharistic Revival on June 19, 2022. The Bishops of the United States are calling for a three-year grassroots revival of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. They believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission “for the life of the world.” These three years will culminate in the first National Eucharistic Congress in the United States in almost fifty years. Almost a hundred thousand Catholics will join together in Indianapolis for a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage toward the “source and summit” of our Catholic faith.

Since for all practical purposes almost all restrictions have been lifted by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, it is time that we as Catholics "get back to normal" and one again make Sunday Mass a regular part of our lives. Therefore, as of Saturday, June 12th I am lifting the dispensation from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass that was granted to all parishioners of the Diocese of Covington. Of course, those who are sick and/or unable to attend Mass for a truly legitimate reason, do not need a dispensation. We look forward to welcoming you back to the community of believers as we join together in praising and glorifying our Lord in the Eucharist. Be assured always of my prayers. Please, pray for me. Your devotedly in the Eucharistic Lord, Most Reverend Roger J. Foys, D.D. Bishop of Covington
