Beginning in April, members of the Serra Club for Vocations, Northern Kentucky, will be selling tickets to the Florence Y’alls baseball game for Wednesday, June 1st, 2022. The purpose of the event is to raise money in support of the Club’s efforts to promote vocations in our faith community. For every $10 ticket voucher the Serra Club sells, it gets to keep $5 in support of their ministerial efforts. I have attached the promotional flyer for the June 1st fundraiser to this email for your consideration. Please know that the Club has recruited Mother Seraphina Marie, of the Franciscan Daughters of Mary, Fr. Michael Hennigen, of Holy Cross Parish and Deacon Jim Fortner, of Blessed Sacrament Parish for the honorary first-pitch duties. We will also have a team of volunteers from Catholic Charities to sell split-the-pot to those attending the game. The Y’alls opponent for the June 1st game is the Washington Wild Things, and game time is scheduled for 6:31 p.m. (yes, 6:31 p.m. is the actual start time for June 1st). I would expect the honorary first pitches to take place app. 30-to-40 minutes prior to the start of the game. Tickets for the June 1st game can be purchased from individual Serra Club members beginning in April or through the link supplied on the attached flyer.
