Music Ministry

Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director.

Women’s Prayer Breakfast

Adult women of the parish gather together on the 3rd Saturday morning (7:30) for Morning Prayer, Rosary, and breakfast with a featured speaker presentation.


Eucharistic Adoration

Every Thursday from 10:30AM to 6:30 PM.  The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.  Benediction begins at 6:30 PM, followed by Mass.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the offering of the parish collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.  Contact the Parish Secretary, Mary Brady, if interested.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is an advisory body providing council to the Pastor on matters affecting the parish.  Members are appointed by the Pastor, and two members are elected by the Parish for a three-year term each

Altar Server

Boys, girls, Grade 5 and up, as well as adult men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings at 7 PM in the Church during Lent.

Hospitality Ministry

Volunteers who help make our parish a welcoming parish.  They also take up the collection.

Parish Health Ministry

The Parish Health Ministry serves to strengthen our faith community by promoting wellness of body, mind and spirit.  As was evidenced in Jesus’ ministry of healing and service, the health of the whole person is linked to spiritual growth and well being.  Our goal is to reflect God’s love through professional and personal caring in a confidential manner.

Mary Rose Mission
The Mary Rose Mission is a non-profit Catholic organization.  Our current ministry is to provide food to the hungry and "food insecure" population of Florence, KY and its surrounding area.  To volunteer and find out more information, click this LINK.

Parish Retreats

A retreat is a gift of time. The retreatant sets aside the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life for a period in order to strengthen our relationship with God.  Our parish participates in several retreat opportunities.  Information is found periodically in our Parish Bulletin.


Men’s Group (Boonedockers)

All men are welcome! Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of most months, in Britt Hall, at 7:30 PM.  The Boonedocker's are the "go to" organization for several major projects around the parish.  We also provide a Turkey Dinner in November, and Lenten Fish Frys. 

Adult Faith Formation

All adults of the parish are welcome to attend and participate in our faith formation sessions.  See the Parish Calendar for topics and times.  Normally, we host a morning session, and repeat that session in the evening.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights are Catholic Men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church.  Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while growing in your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.  Our local council, Bishop Ackerman Council #5453, has been part of the IHM family since the Council's founding in the 1960’s. Knights are deeply involved in parish life, and can be found involved in many ministries throughout the parish.  The Council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month in Acree Hall. Meetings are open to member Knights only, and begin with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m., with a business meeting following. 

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.   See Parish Calendar for dates/times.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.  After prayerful discernment, new ministers are nominated to the Bishop, attend a Diocesean training session, and a parish practical training.

Altar Society

Men and women who assist the Pastor in maintaining the church and making preparation for liturgical celebrations.  Typically, we clean the sacred linens, maintain candles, and may be very light housekeeping.


Reader who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services. After prayerful discernment, new ministers are nominated to the Bishop, attend a Diocesean training session, and a parish practical training.


Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.


Duties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass.

Prayer Hotline

The Parish Prayer Hotline consists of dozens of concerned parishioners.  A prayer request is sent via email to the prayer hotline, and the intention is added to the hotline prayer request list.  These parishioners immediately pray for your intention.If you have someone with a chronic or acute illness, we can also put their name in the bulletin “Pray for the Sick” section, where the entire parish will keep your loved one in their prayers each week.  Use the link on the left of this page to make a request.  Please call us back when you are ready to remove his/her name from the bulletin.
