Faith for Life

"Every individual has the responsibility to grow in faith
and to contribute to the growth in faith
of the other members of the church."

                                           --National Directory for Catechesis

As Catholics, we are called to lifelong conversion and an ongoing commitment to learn and grow in faith and relationship with Jesus. At IHM we strive to offer Faith Formation using a "Faith for Life" approach: continuing education our children in the faith, but also with emphasis on the adults of the parish.

Following the guidelines set forth by our Bishops, there are three major goals of adult learning:

  • Ongoing conversion
  • Call to a community of faith and participation in its mission
  • Preparation for discipleship

As part of our continuing education, we offer a variety of adult faith programs.

OUR NEW GIFT TO YOU!

"Formed.org is a spiritual blessing. I am currently enjoying my second session from the St. Paul Center. The information I have been learning has greatly deepened and improved my knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith." --Erin Greelish, IHM Parishioner

"Deacon Greg used FORMED to present the most recent study group session, The Bible and The Virgin Mary. The information was so clear that my typical response to each session was, "aha!", and was so thorough that I came away without questions but instead an affirmation of my faith. FORMED gave me the impression of having a Catholic library right at my fingertips, just type in a topic or scroll through the thumbnails to get more details on anything that is on your mind." --Connie Wolfe, IHM Parishioner
